CABLE - To meet the Cable Natural History Museum’s growing demands for storage, programming and accessibility, a new structure is being built at the museum’s Wayside Wanderings Natural Play Area at 43135 Randysek Rd. in Cable. The museum welcomes everyone to help celebrate the grand opening of the new pavilion on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to noon. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., followed by treats and Art of Natural Play.
The new structure will include a 1,600-square-foot screened pavilion and kitchen available for programming, accessible flush toilet, improved parking to better accommodate visitor abilities, functional workshop space for dedicated exhibit construction and safe storage for reusable exhibit components. The building and landscaping were designed and built in keeping with the museum’s mission and goals.
