The Spooner Rail softball girls are on a winning streak, picking up wins against Hayward on May 3, Ladysmith on May 5 and Barron on May 7. At Hayward on May 3, Emily Romportl (#3) was on the mound to pitch the win. On the bases, runner Peyton Steines (#30) was ready to score.

SPOONER– It’s been a good run for the Spooner Rail softball team.
The Rail girls have won five straight games, topping Hayward 8-7 on May 3, Ladysmith 14-0 on May 5 and doubling up Barron 15-0 and 16-2 on Saturday, May 7. On Monday, May 9, at St. Croix Falls, the Rails picked up a 13-5 win to move to 10-3 in the Heart O’ North Conference (currently third place), and 13-3 overall.
