At the end of each school year at Spooner Elementary School, the fourth-grade teachers have the privilege of presenting two prestigious awards to students, including the Citizenship Award and Presidential Academic Excellence Award.
The Citizenship Award is voted upon by students in each classroom. A boy and a girl from each classroom received this award. Some of the citizenship qualities we teach and value at SES are for students to be respectful, responsible, trustworthy, honest, and role models for our younger students in the building.
The Presidential Award is determined by percentile rank on the STAR Reading and Math assessments, along with consistent performance in the classroom. Four to five students from each fourth grade classroom received this award.
Winners this year are identified in the accompanying photographs.
