I am a small business owner who started from scratch. I have three shops, employee 10 people, and all customers are verified as 18-plus. Local vape shops are not big tobacco; we are small business owners. There is a middle ground that the government should employ rather than taking away people’s freedom and the right to choose a harm reduction tool.

We all know how Prohibition ended up, with a massive unregulated black market. There is a reason that there are liquor stores with age verification. We have had multiple law enforcement ID checks and attempts by minors, and we have passed every one. We do need to reduce the youth vaping problem, but there are common sense ways to do this without a knee-jerk ban. Most youth are getting these devices online, with no age verification, and then selling them to their friends.
