The secular media provides us with in-depth coverage of disasters, riots, and other examples of the lack of neighborly love. To a far lesser degree we are told of caring Christian actions. This is one example of the latter.
On a recent shopping trip to Hayward I had accumulated $180 worth of items in my cart, only to have my credit card rejected at the checkout counter. A supervisor took me to a courtesy desk where we called the credit card company to eventually be informed that the latest bill had not been paid. Subsequent checking disclosed that payment had been sent two weeks previously, had likely been lost in the mail, but the existing situation saw me with but a few dollars in cash and no way to solve my problem, a real dilemma.
