Nearly a year after the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) announced the discovery of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in the Maple Hills deer farm in Taylor County, the 301 deer on the 22-acre farm have been depopulated.

Laurie Seale, who is also vice president of the Wisconsin Deer Farmers Association, is owner of the Maple Hill farm.
