Community Center rededicated

Ken Schultz, Shell Lake City Council president, and City Administrator Andy Eiche(not pictured) spoke at the Community Center’s rededication on May 12. The Lions Club built the center and donated it to the city in 1979. Over the last few months, the city and Lions Club members completed a remodel of the building. The City Council budgeted $29,000 for the remodeling, but due to the in-kind work by Lions members and other local citizens, the project came in under budget. “The Community Center’s purpose is just that, a place to bring the community together,” said Schultz. “The Lions built it for the community and the rededication reaffirms the commitment from the city to the building and from the Lions Club to the community.”
