SPOONER– North Country Master Gardeners, University of Wisconsin- Extension, announces Kids in the Garden, a free summer program for youths 3 to 12 years of age. A parent or an adult is required to stay with children under 10 years of age.

The program will be offered on Monday afternoons from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and repeated on Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Each program will start with a topic-related story read on storyboards while walking around the garden, and an educational presentation, a nutritious snack, and an activity will be presented.

> June 10 and 11 – Planting Our Garden and Construction of a Bug Condo!

> June 24 and 25 – Composting We Go and Magical Hummingbirds!

> July 8 and 9 – Yoga in the Garden!

> July 22 and 23 – Marvelous Monarchs and Pollinators!

> August 5 and 6 – Apples, Apples, Apples and Painting Friendship Rocks!

The sessions will be held at Spooner Agricultural Research Station Display Gardens, 780 Orchard Ln., Spooner. If it is rainy, they will be held at the Spooner Agricultural Research Station large meeting room.
