The storm set to hit the Northland – which is being called "powerful" and "robust" – is likely to be a humdinger.
While some snow fell through Friday night, Nov. 29, snow showers were on and off by Saturday morning. The bulk of the snow, and the worst traveling, is expected to be through the afternoon and overnight on Saturday.
The snow will taper off by Sunday morning or afternoon.
Washburn County is on the lower end of snow accumulations, just 8 to 12 inches. Counties to the east and north could get more, perhaps topping 1 1/2 feet near Ashland.
