Rain and snow likely for March 28-29

A strong spring storm will bring a mixture of moderate to heavy rainfall, wet snow, strong northeast winds, and possible flooding to the area this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain will flow in first from the south and by Saturday night switch to snow, continue overnight, and then switch back to a rain and snow mix on Sunday.

"Northeast winds will increase this afternoon and evening, remain strong overnight, then gradually diminish and become northerly Sunday morning," the NWS said.

Gale Warnings and Lakeshore Flood advisories and warnings are in effect for Saturday evening into Sunday morning due to the strong winds and large waves.
