What the National Weather Service is calling a "strong autumn storm" could bring snow to the area over the upcoming weekend.
Rain and possibly a few thunderstorms are possible on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 10-11, and then the continuing rain could mix with snow or turn to all snow overnight on Friday into Saturday beginning in north-central and central Minnesota Friday.
"The potential for rain and snow continues Saturday through Sunday," the National Weather Service out of Duluth said. "While the best chance of accumulating snow is over north-central and central Minnesota, much of the Northland may see at least a few flakes during the weekend. Keep up-to-date with the latest forecast for the most latest information."
Some forecasts are predicting an inch or two for the local region on Saturday.
