TOWN OF SHELDON– Kevin Wiemer, 58, of Glen Flora died after being trapped in a corn bin on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 19 in Sheldon, town of Rusk.
He was recovered from the corn bin at the Sheldon Co-op, said Rusk County Sheriff Jeffery Wallace, but life-saving attempts were not successful, and he died at the scene.
The sheriff’s office, Sheldon Fire Department, Rusk County EMS, Ladysmith Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, LifeLink Helicopter and the Jump River Fire Department responded to the scene.
Just three days before, a man who was trapped in a bin of soybeans in Dallas, Barron County, was rescued and flown to a trauma center in stable condition.
