LONG LAKE – The Long Lake Recycling Site is now closed for the winter months. The last day for the site was Saturday, October 26.
All of the same services are provided at the Sarona location (approximately six miles away) at the Lake Area Landfill gates on Cty. Hwy. D between Sarona and Shell Lake.
The Sarona location is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays (for details: landfill, 715.469.3356). The site accepts single-stream collection of recyclables, including: tin, aluminum, newspaper and magazines, glass, paper products, and certain plastics (#1, #2, and #5 plastics). No automotive bottles are taken regardless of number.
All materials must be removed from bags as much more recycling fits into the container when it is not in bags. Also, absolutely no plastic bags or wrap are accepted for recycling
