The third annual Muddin’ 4 Kidz ATV and UTV ride held Saturday, June 1, raised just under $4,200, said Courtney Bearhart, one of the organizers,
Eighty-four 4-wheelers participated in the rides, which started at Hayward Power Sports. One ride traveled to the Sawmill Saloon in Seeley and the other went to Pat’s Landing on the Chippewa Flowage. Both rides finished up at the Blackiron Bar & Grill, where bucket drawings and a 50-50 raffle were held.
Bearhart said one person crashed due to a medical issue. The ride to Seeley was muddy, with several 20-foot mud waves, and the second ride was dusty.
“Everybody got dirty. It was really fun,” Bearhart said.
Raffle items included a hunting rifle, two beer coolers and 54 baskets. All proceeds went to the Christmas 4 Kidz effort. The Sawmill and Pat’s Landing donated their lunch money back to the organization.
