As of Tuesday morning, April 27, Sawyer County is at the “Red” high-risk level for COVID-19 with the highest number of new cases in the state, according to a comparison based on population.

The county scored 37.1 cases per 100,000 population, followed by Pierce County at 33.7 and St. Croix County at 31.7. Previously Sawyer County had been averaging 5.1 new cases per day.
