Lifelong Moose Lake area resident Ronnie Ross passed away last Friday, June 10. Splitting and cutting wood with the chainsaw was his passion. He also loved to watch the birds, deer and turkeys coming in to eat the sunflower seeds he put out for them every day.
Ronnie also enjoyed talking about his memories of growing up on Moose Lake and showing photos of the many fish his dad (Chick Ross) caught as a Hayward area Hall of Fame fishing guide. He had some “big buck” stories, too, that he always wanted to tell. Many of us always saw Ronnie walking down Moose Lake Road toward Either Y-Pines or Louie’s. Many of us, including my wife Barb, would stop to give him a ride. At his request, there will not be a memorial funeral service. Think of him next time you are at Louie’s having a beer.
