The Lac Courte Oreilles Boys and Girls Club Little League team finished its regular season with seven wins and five losses, good enough to put them in fourth place in the Southern Sawyer County Little League.
LCO also hosted their first-round playoff game, avenging a loss to Birchwood 1 a week earlier by battling to a 6-0 win against the same team.
On June 29, LCO traveled to Exeland to continue in the double elimination championship tournament. LCO lost twice to league leading Exeland in the regular season, as Exeland finished undefeated at 12-0. It was another tough loss for LCO when they went down 13-5 in the playoffs.
LCO began their playoff run with a 7-3 defeat over Birchwood 2. Right after that game they faced Winter and won 8-5. Next, they had to get through Ojibwa 1 to play against Exeland in the championship and in a hard-fought game they were narrowly defeated 3-2 and finished the tournament in third place.
Each of the LCO players received a bronze medal for third place.
