BoatUS: Low-price regular 88-octane gas is bad for boats

With more ethanol than ever before now available at the nation’s gas stations, Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) cautions America’s recreational boaters to avoid filling with Regular 88 fuel. That is because the latest gasoline blend may contain up to 15 percent ethanol (E15) – enough to harm the boat motor and void the engine manufacturer’s warranty.
