Most of Wisconsin is red

The risk for COVID-19 in most of Wisconsin is at the high, red status

Within just one week, the risk level for COVID-19 transmission in Sawyer County spiked from the low “yellow” rating and shot right over the “orange” level to land in the highest risk level, “red.”

A week ago on Aug. 23 the county sat at the yellow level with only 11 new cases recorded from the week before. But in the week since then, it has recorded another 36 new cases of COVID (30 confirmed and 6 probables), going from 1,941 on Aug. 23 to 1,977 on Aug. 30.
