A proposed zoning amendment that would have redefined a “resort” as more than “two dwelling units” for rent and made other changes to definitions in the county’s ordinances, including allowing a lot to have more than one dwelling under a conditional use permit (CUP) and expanding multi-dwelling development to include two or more, failed 0-15 to receive any approval from the towns.

Without a majority of towns not approving the proposed amendment, a public hearing on the amendment was canceled Friday, May 19, the day the Sawyer County Zoning Committee held its monthly meeting.
