Milford G. Place, born in Ridott, Illinois, passed away Nov. 21, in Rockton, Illinois.
Milford was a home builder in Freeport, Illinois, from the early 1950s until the mid-1960s, when he moved to Rockford, Illinois, and became a Realtor/developer. When he retired he and his wife Vivian moved to Cable, where he built a home on Garden Lake. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and golf, and was a longtime active member of the local Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Vivian; sons, Bill and Jim of Cable; and brother, Raymond of Rockford.
He is survived by his sister, Betty Anderson of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; son, John of Hayward; and daughter, Kari Wheaton of Rockton.
