Rachel Radcliffe was named the 2015 Musky Festival queen at the 66th annual Hayward Musky Festival Queen’s Scholarship Pageant Thursday evening June 25 at the Hayward High School auditorium.
Madison Carlson was chosen by the judges as first runner-up, and Darby Roehl was second runner-up. Roehl won the Miss Congeniality Award as chosen by her fellow contestants. Radcliffe won the Entrepreneur Award for selling the most Musky Festival buttons and the Miss Photogenic award presented by photographer James Netz. Harlie Rice, Celie Frederickson and Tessa Leahy are the royal court princesses.
For her talent presentation, Radcliffe demonstrated fly fishing.
Two junior awards also were presented during the pageant. Samantha Kennell, 11, won the Junior Musky Queen award, and Alivia Beckwith won the Mini Musky Queen award, chosen by a random drawing.
