Update from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation:

The two eastbound lanes of Highway 27 (south side of the road), between Highway 63 and before the bridge, are being paved.

South of the Namekagon Bridge, south of the County Highway B intersection, asphalt patching is being completed for curb and gutter and concrete work is finishing and landscaping is beginning.

Next week:

For the North section of Highway 27 – from 63 to bridge – more asphalt will be added on both eastbound and westbound lanes and pavement markings will be added.

South of the bridge, two inches of asphalt will be paved and two inches will be added and pavement markings will be added. Traffic will run on milled/grooved surfaces for a few days.

Traffic Impacts Monday June 17- 21 

Milling and Paving scheduled on 27 south of B will include flaggers to help dump trucks get in and out of traffic. Work is scheduled all 5 days.

Paving north of B to 63 will also include flaggers to let trucks in and out of traffic. It will be busy all five days.

Both parts of the project will require pavement marking and traffic switches.

Expect delays. Expect side road closures. Expect driveway closures.

It is advisable to use side streets to access businesses:

• Dyno Drive to Riverside Motel, the Kart Track, Subway, Northwoods Outdoors and the Boncler Building.

• Railroad, Wheeler and Bay streets to Marketplace, McDonalds, Holiday, The Village Smith, Amerivue Motel, Norske Nook and the Print Shop.
