Working on the Greater Hayward House of Hope (GHHH). Several volunteers showed up Saturday, Jan. 9, to work on the former Main Street Spider Lake Church parsonage that will be the site of a transitional housing and mentoring program for men. Executive Director of GHHH Mike Thompson said the effort has been blessed with so much donation that instead of needing $10,000 to renovate the house, the need is now $5,000. One of the large donations was floor laminate from Todd and Brenda Kreyer. Volunteers are still needed.
At 4 p.m., Feb. 28 there will be a program introducing the public to GHHH at Spider Lake Church on Main Street. The meeting will include an introduction to the board and GHHH’s mission, followed by guest speaker Brian Cole talking about the impact of the ministry. There will then be a time for questions and answers and tour along with coffee and cookies.
More information on GHHH, including how to donate, is available at its Facebook page.
