The Sherman & Ruth Weiss Community Library will create an opportunity for children to express their creativity and develop their problem-solving skills by starting a Lego Club.

The club will offer STEM programing — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — at its simplest and best, and will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month. Meeting dates for 2019 are Sept. 24, Oct. 22 and Nov. 25.

The club is open to all children and teens, ages 3 to 18. Children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision. A theme/challenge will be presented, followed by 40 minutes of free build.  All Legos are provided.  Lego creations will be displayed in the children’s room for a couple of weeks after each program.

Those who would like to contribute Legos to the library collection, or contribute funds for the Lego Club, may submit them to the library. For more information, call the library at (715) 634-2161, visit www.weisscommunitylibrary.com or find the library on Facebook.
