The theme for this year’s Hayward Piecemakers Quilt Guild’s biennial quilt show, to be held Saturday, July 27, at the Hayward Wesleyan Church, is “A Quilter’s Community.”
Everyone is invited to view the beauty and workmanship of quilts on display. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A free-will donation will be accepted at the door.
The schedule of events for the day include a Quilts of Valor presentation to local veterans at noon, following by a variety of “Let’s Trade Secrets” presentations throughout the day, as guild members share their quilting tips and techniques.
Service Grinding and Supply Co. will be on site to provide scissors sharpening, and vendors will include A Little Piece of Mind from New Richmond, One Wing Wool from Cushing, Minnesota, River’s Edge Antiques and Quilt Loft in Hayward and Sew Creative of Rhinelander. Lunch will be available, with proceeds going to support the Northwoods Humane Society.
The 2019 Hayward Piecemakers Raffle Quilt and assorted raffle baskets will be on display with tickets available for purchase.
Anyone interested in displaying a quilt can do so, free of charge, by completing a quilt registration form. The registration deadline is July 8. Forms are located in the entrance of the Sherman & Ruth Weiss Public Library and River’s Edge Antiques and Quilt Loft.
Registration forms and more information about the show are available by emailing email@example.com or checking the Hayward Piecemakers Facebook page.
