Michael D. Moreno, 76, of Hayward, WI passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at his home.
Michael Dominick Moreno was born Jan. 11, 1946, in Chicago, the son of Dominick and Mary (Crnkovich) Moreno. Michael was raised in Illinois and graduated from high school there. After high school he began work as a sheet metal apprentice and worked with Local Sheet Metal Workers Union #265. On Oct. 23, 1973, Michael was joined in marriage to Karen Krause in Villa Park, Illinois. They lived in Villa Park for several years before moving to Milwaukee, where Michael continued sheet metal work. He worked in the Milwaukee area over 10 years and then retired in 1992. Michael and Karen moved to Hayward in 1996, where Michael became a regular at the Moccasin Bar with the morning coffee crew. He also enjoyed playing dice and being in the pool league. A favorite pastime for Michael was riding his Yamaha Striker Motorcycle. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and was obsessed with vanilla ice cream.
