The Summer Reading Program at the Sherman & Ruth Weiss Community Library continues at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, with a program presented by magician Matt Dunn.

It’s all part of “A Universe of Stories,” the theme for this year’s Summer Reading Program at the library. The program is aimed at children in grades Pre-K through 5, and welcomes children of all abilities. Parents and grandparents enjoy it, too! The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, in partnership with Northwest Connection Family Resources.

Dunn, who performs in the Twin Cities area, is a magician and comedian, who packs his family and children’s magic show with lots of laughs.

At the summer reading program’s last event on July 11, each child will receive a grab bag that includes a free child’s book of choice from the Friends Used Book Room and other goodies. July 5 is the last day to register a child to qualify for raffle prizes and the end-of-program grab bag.

The library also has summer reading programs for both teens and adults. For more information, contact the library at (715) 634-2161, check or stop by the library, which is located on Highway 27-77.
