At Rib Lake, the Hawks defeated the Rib Lake Osprey 6-5 in their opener Friday night, and then defeated the Everest Merchants 5-3 on Sunday to advance to the WBA finals.

The Hawks will open the WBA championship tournament at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Wakanda Park in Menomonie when they will play the Chaseburg-Coon Valley Blues.

If they win their opener, the Hawks will play in a semifinal game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The winner of that game will advance to the championship game at noon on Sunday, Aug. 18.
