A Go Fund Me site has been set up to help the Jeffrey Crone family after a fire destroyed their home and garage at 13512W County Highway B east of the Sevenwinds Casino on Thursday-Friday Oct. 9-10.
According to a post, "The Crone family woke up to flames on Thursday morning about 4:00 a.m. The garage was on fire and it was heading toward the house. By the time the fire department arrived the house was burning.
"Jeff and Catherine Crone lost everything. This was a home they loved with many memories a place where they raised their children and grandchildren for 20 years. Their homeowners insurance recently elapsed. This leaves them without a home. What ever you could do to help would be appreciated."

Also responding were LCO tribal police, Sawyer County sheriff’s deputies, and a Sawyer County ambulance and paramedic for stand-by.
The second fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9. Flames and smoke were coming from the house. A passerby reported seeing no one inside the house.
