The Cable Area Food Shelf’s eighth annual Empty Bowl fundraiser will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Cable Community Centre. The cost is $10 for adults and free for children 10 and under.

The Sherman & Ruth Weiss Community Library will resume its Thursday Afternoon Movies at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, with a showing of “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” in the Community Room. The movie is free and includes popcorn.
