The 2022 Denny Friedrich Memorial Tournament and American Cancer Society Fundraiser was held on June 4 on Big Chetac and Birch Lakes out of Doolittle Park in Birchwood.
Forty-four anglers hit the water on a cool morning that turned into a really nice day with no rain. It was a tough tournament to figure out, but as is always the case someone finds the bass. When everything was finished Mike Luhman squeezed out the heaviest five fish limit at 12.98 pounds to win the tournament. Brought to the scales were 113 fishing weighing 295.26 pounds at an average of 2.22 per fish.
