Victor A. Karen, age 99, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday,
August 20, 2019 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
He was born on May 8, 1920 in Gwinn, Michigan to the late Victor J. and
Mary (Koski) Karkkainen.
Victor worked in the maintenance department for the State of Michigan. He
served in the Army Air Force (AAF) during WWII and was a member of the
VFW. Victor loved working with computers, woodworking, and reading.
He is survived by his children, Diane Karen, Victor C. Karen; and 3
grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Victor is preceded in death by his wife, Clarine Jo
Ann Karen, and sister, Aune Karkkainen.
A private family and friends memorial will be held at the Dowds-Snyder
Funeral Home; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050.
