Fifteen of the 29 members of the Barron County Board of Supervisors took part in a tour of the Barron County Highway Department’s old and up-and-coming new facility prior to the July 18 County Board meeting. Each month a tour is offered to orient new board members to county facilities with all welcome to attend.

Later, at the meeting, supervisors heard an update on the $25 million building project, which has run into some cost overruns. The board was informed that as of July 8, there was a budget overrun of $783,009.
