Cameron officer who risked life to save woman receives commendation

Cameron Police Chief Adam Steffen (right) presents a plaque of commendation to Officer Anthony Brunner on Thursday at Village Hall. Brunner pulled a driver out of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch and caught fire on March 20 on Highway 8. Steffen said the officer showed courage in saving the woman’s life while risking his safety, health and well-being.
