Brady Verbsky's infield grounder scored Jamion Frazier with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Rice Lake Warriors edged the visiting Hudson Raiders, 4-3, in Big Rivers conference baseball Thursday.
With the game tied at 3-3, Frazier led off the bottom of the seventh with a double to right and moved up to third on a sacrifice bunt. Frazier slid home under the catcher's tag on Verbsky's infield chopper.
With the win, the Warriors ended the conference season at 3-9, with all three wins coming after nine losses.
Rice Lake, 8-11 overall and winner of five of its last six games, wraps up the regular season with a nonconference game Monday, May 20, at Spooner. Starting time is 5 p.m. Rice Lake then opens Division 2 regional play Thursday, May 23, hosting Amery.
