There was a good turnout for the 10th annual Forrest Run on Saturday on the grounds at UW-Eau Claire — Barron County in Rice Lake. The run, started in 2011 as a project by Kelly Orr's FBLA Club, is in honor of Rice Lake High School alum Forrest Olson, who died in 2007 from brain cancer. All proceeds support local families who have loved ones battling brain cancer and brain cancer research. This year's event began with a 1-mile Fun Run, with obstacles along the route, for ages 12 and under, after which the 5K run/walk began. Water stations were set up along the route and food was served following the event for participants.
