Rice Lake qualified eight boys in eight events, and all three Warrior girls competing in the sectional meet at Mosinee are moving on to state as well.
 
Adam Strouf qualified twice, winning the shot put and placing fourth in discus, and DeAirus Clerveaux also twice, finishing first in 400 and fourth in 100. Another sectional champion was Derek Penzkover, winning the 1,600.
 
Also qualifying: Gannon Christmas, second in 110 hurdles; Marquez Clerveaux, third in 100; and JP Senyoni, a surprise third in triple jump. Also, the 4x100 relay took first place, with DeAirus and Marquez Clerveaux, Dawson Stroik and Zach Widdes.
 
For the girls, Jasmine Mlejnek was third in high jump; Trinity Roberts took second in 100 hurdles; and Anna Penzkover placed third in 1,600.
 
Other Rice Lake competitors included Derek Penzkover, ninth in 800; DeAirus Clerveaux, DNQ from prelims in 200; Mlejnek, sixth in long jump; and Anna Penzkover, fifth in 800 by .03 seconds.
