The 65th annual Turtle Lake Inter-County Fair is July 12-14 sponsored by the The Turtle Lake Lion’s Club and features a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Don’t miss the dairy cattle and sheep show first thing Friday morning at 10 a.m. The day continues with a fun health fair sponsored by Cumberland Healthcare and a run, hit and throw contest for kids ages 8-13 at 1:30 p.m. sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
A singles cribbage tournament takes place Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m. with $5 entry and 100% payback.
Friday continues with the introduction of the queen contestants and coronation of Miss Turtle Lake at 6 p.m. consecutive to a mini horse pull also at 6 p.m. The night culminates with the 29th annual Horse Puller’s Association Horse pull at 7 p.m.
Pancakes or run? You decide! Start your day bright and early with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. or lace up your running shoes and trot along for 2 or 6 miles for the timed 39th annual Turtle Trot run/walk also beginning at 8 a.m. Run fast enough and you might get to do both! (See Page 9 for details.)
Settle in at 10:30 a.m. for a library read-aloud at the park shelter. Then get ready for the tractor pull at noon.
Check out the craft show which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Get ready for some noise after 4 p.m. when country music by The Hunyuks begins in the beer garden, followed by the truck pull at 7 p.m.
Sunday’s events begin with a community church service in the park at 10 a.m. immediately followed by the kiddie parade at 10:30 a.m. The grand parade begins at noon with a bean bag tournament to follow at 1 p.m.
The fun continues with a pedal pull and the 53rd annual Turtle Derby and kids races at 1:30 p.m.
Prize drawings will occur at 4 p.m.
Don’t forget Stipes show on the midway all 3 days with wrist band Friday from 6-10 p.m. and Saturday noon-4 p.m.
