The Cameron Comets knocked off Heart o' North leader Northwestern 64-60 in a boys basketball showdown Monday night in Cameron.

With the win the Comets move into a first-place tie with Northwestern, both at 8-3. Cumberland is also thick in the race atop the conference with a 7-2 record.

Cameron led 35-32 at halftime. The Comets are now 10-4 overall, while Northwestern drops to 11-3.
