The Price Soccer U14 team (consisting of seventh and eighth graders) opened their Season on August 24 by hosting Minocqua and Spooner.

In their first match, the team raced to a 3-0 halftime lead. The second half provided much of the same, with Price Soccer dominating possession. In the end, the shutout was preserved, and the team came away with a 4-0 victory. Jed Miller, Courtney Shipley and Kavanaugh Fitzpatrick (two goals) all scored for the home team.

Playing their second game on a hot and humid day, required heavy substituting to try and keep the players fresh. Price Soccer responded well to the challenge and easily defeated Spooner 9-1. Due to the necessity of constantly rotating the squad, many players had a chance to play forward, and in all, eight players tallied goals for Price Soccer. The goal scorers were: Gabby Eklund, Cecelia Fuhr, Adam Demuth, Seth Gehrke, Courtney Shipley, Philip Gengenbach, Kavanaugh Fitzpatrick, and Jed Miller (two goals).

The team had the Labor Day weekend off before traveling to tournaments in Hayward, Ashland and Minocqua in the coming weeks.
