Babe Ruth team takes first at tournament

The Phillips Babe Ruth team took first place at their home tournament recently. The tournament consisted of three very talented local teams: Phillips, Park Falls and Prentice. Over the past two seasons the Phillips Babe Ruth team has gone 20-0. The team looks to keep improving over the summer. All the Babe Ruth and Legion games are played at the Veterans’ Memorial Field located behind the Phillips Elementary School. Pictured are (front row, from left): Darek Petruzalek, Seth Gerhke, Dakota Olson, Zach Potter, Brandon Shipley, Brandon Huettl, Austin Edwards, and Dakota Haberman. Back row, from left: Coach Brent Edwards, coach and field maintenance specialist, TJ Podmolik, coach John Krause, Dillon Geboy, Tanner Riley, Cole Vyskocil, Collin Krause, Ben Edwards, Josh Lasky, coach Jerry Petruzalek and umpire Greg Potter.
