With winter on the not-too-distant horizon, the Prentice School Board considered a snow removal plan at their regular meeting on Oct. 15.

A single bid was received from Sawyer Haubert and unanimously accepted by the board members present. Costs to the district will be a base charge of $50 plus $1 dollar per minute of time spent plowing. Additional services were use of a skid-steer for pushing back snow from building and parking lot at $100 per hour, and an additional $125 to remove the snow from the premises. The contract states the plowing services will be offered after two inches of fresh snowfall accumulate.
