With her teammates cheering her on, Team SEaL's Bailey Beilke took to the podium at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo, Ohio, on July 19 to receive the silver medal in the women’s intermediate entry level handicap trap event during the Scholastic Clay Target Program's annual national championships.

In her first ever national event, Beilke posted a score of 148 out of 200, just five targets shy of event champion Graycn Hutson from Boonville, North Carolina. Beilke’s podium finish marks the first national medal of any kind for herself and the SEaL team, which just concluded its fourth season of SCTP competition.

Beilke said of her performance, "I was just happy to shoot well, and represent the team and my school. I really wished I had entered more events like sporting clays and skeet too!"

In additional to Beilke, Team SEaL was represented at nationals by Jackson and Jonathan Greandys, Ethan Michek, and Sam Nesbit. Team SEaL shooters participated in a number of events for the first time this year including handicap trap, doubles trap and skeet, in addition to singles trap and sporting clays. Team members posted a number personal bests in various events including Jonathan Grendys and Ethan Michek in singles trap. Other highlights also included perfect rounds of 25 each by both Sam Nesbit and Ethan Michek in singles trap, and strong performances in skeet and sporting clays by Jackson Grendys.

Team SEaL shooters expressed their personal thanks to their parents and team sponsors for their support throughout the season and for making their success at nationals possible.
