The Chequamegon High School cross-country teams opened their 2019 seasons in the Ashland Invitational on Thursday, Aug. 29.
“We had a great first week-and-a-half of practice with our teams and were definitely ready to start the season off and get our first meet in,” Screaming Eagles’ coach Mary Patterson said. “There is a lot of excitement coming from the team heading into this year as we really feel we can accomplish some high goals this season. Right now, we are at 74 total kids for our program, which is amazing. All of these kids took a big step to take cross-country and we are proud of each one of them.”
