Kristina Peterson won two events and Autumn Michalski and Thomas Mineau were winners for the Chequamegon High School track and field teams at the Northland Pines Invitational on Tuesday, May 18.
"It was a beautiful night for a track and field meet with the temperatures warming up," Screaming Eagles' coach Mary Patterson said. "We were excited to see the team's times come down and performances get better with the warmer weather. We saw some kids really get after it and have some season bests. The competition was strong with some top teams in the state. At the end of the night, both teams came away with solid third-place team finishes. This was very respectable for our teams and we worked hard for that. We were still out a few athletes and look to being full strength at our next meet."
