Back in college there were a plethora of journalistic tenets ground into your brain ad nauseam. First, the “inverted pyramid” news article: lead with the most interesting fact, proceed with progressively less interesting items. The “gold coin” trick, where you insert sporadic rewards, if you will, in the story body to give the reader incentive to read on.

And finally, don’t use Wikipedia as a source.
