Paulette “Polly” (Kersten) Anderson

Paulette “Polly” (Kersten) Anderson, 83, of Phillips, WI, passed away on May 24, 2023, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Merrill, WI. Polly was born on January 19, 1940, in Marshfield, WI, to Paul and Violet (Jens) Kersten. She married Vernon Anderson on August 10, 1963.

Polly attended and graduated from Mother of Sorrows High School in Blue Island, IL. She worked at Libby’s and Nabsico during the summers while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Xavier University, of Chicago, IL., completing her degree in 1962. Upon her graduation, she moved to Phillips to teach with the Phillips School District as the Art and English teacher for 29 years. She completed her Continuing Education at Mount Senario, of Ladysmith, WI, as well as Northland College in Ashland.
