The Phillips High School girls' cross-country team fell three points short of victory at the South Shore Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Chequamegon won the girls' meet with 46 points to the Loggers 49. Prentice/Rib Lake was third with 70 points, followed by: Solon Springs, 119; Washburn, 137; Drummond, 143; Hurley, 150; and Mellen, 192.
