On Oct. 24, the varsity Phillips Loggers volleyball team faced the Unity Eagles in the Regional Semifinals. With a loss of 0-3, the Loggers finished their season earlier than expected. With the scores of 13-25, 20-25, and 16-25, the Loggers battled to move onto the Regional Finals, but were unable to come out on top. The Loggers finished the season with a satisfying final record of 32-11.
The Unity Eagles came out strong with a large block and a hard serve. The Loggers struggled in their serve receive, but senior Jessica Roush helped the team by scoring double digits in attack kills. Freshman Elsa Schulter stepped up by helping the team out with serves.
